Production notes
This early Flash piece was one of the first collaborative works of digital fiction to be produced using Flash techology and involving a well-known writer. Martyn Bedford was commissioned by the Ikley Literature Festival to work with a web designer (Andy Campbell) to produce a "virtual novel". The piece was scripted by Bedford and designed by Campbell - and originally released in weekly episodes during the 2000 festival. Explore the story with its hyperlinks, animation and music sequences before choosing one of its three endings - the sad ending, the happy ending, or the post-modern ending.
