This great fan website for The Tripods science fiction series contains information about the original TV series as well as up and coming conventions and the proposed feature film.
John Christopher, an alias for Samuel Youd, wrote the Tripod Trilogy in the 1960s. The story chronicles the efforts of young Will Parker and a band of freedom fighters as they work to overthrow the Masters, a race of beings who have taken over the world and enslaved its population. Books in the series often make school's recommended reading lists for grades 6 to 9.
