Digitally born
Dreaming Methods is part of a new generation of 'digitally born' writing projects that bypass traditional writing and publishing practices and attempt to create something entirely new. It was established in 1999 by Andy Campbell, a digital artist and writer. Andy is the Director of Digital Media for the UK charity One to One Development Trust which seeks to support Dreaming Methods through subscriptions and donations. Hybrid forms
Electronic literature, according to Wikipedia, is a literary genre consisting of works of literature that originate within digital environments and require digital devices to be read/experienced. Dreaming Methods aims to bring that concept to life by creating powerful, compelling and visually stunning works that explore abstract, complex and contemporary themes. Take a look!
Spec up
There's no beating about the bush: Dreaming Methods works are media-rich experiences. We're working on some exciting new HTML5-based works and native apps for Android/iOS - available to subscribers - but the majority of our projects are best viewed on a desktop computer in the dark with the sound up. This is not dull, hypertext fiction. You are in for a treat. :)
